NPR : Resistance Grows to Arab Firm's Control of Ports

This article (and voice piece) also describes how one of these ports is in New Orleans.

Tough question - money is money, and the city needs it. But is money money?

Somehow this post turned out kind of trite, but I do think there is a point to ponder here.

Not sure I agree per se, Alex. Is there a connection between this company and terrorism? We do not always preclude doing business with every business entity within a country because the country has criminals using it as a base of operations.

Anyway, the ports have been owned by a British company so far. IRA terrorists are part of Britain, and it is a safe bet that there are one or two Irish people working for the former owner. Does this preclude us from working with them?
